- Simplest directions to the faire: Take I-12 Exit #42, and follow the signs to 46468 River Road, Hammond LA 70401
- Extended directions to the faire:
- New Orleans, and Jackson, MS, take I-55 toward Hammond, LA, then I-12 East to Exit #42
- Alabama and Florida take I-10 West, then take I-12 toward Hammond to Exit #42 Texas, Baton Rouge, and Slidell get onto I-12 East, then get off at Exit #42
Once on I-12 take Exit #42 (just east of Hammond, Louisiana),Turn north toward McDonald's (on Airport Road / Hwy 3158).Go two miles, past McDonald's (stay on Hwy 3158, straight through the traffic circle). Road ends at the airport,Take a right onto Hwy 190, go two miles. Take a left onto River Road (Hwy 1064). (There is a turn lane at the school.) Go about two miles, Entrance to festival parking is on the right (at the SIGN).

You will cheer your champion knight at the Joust Arena. Feast like a King on a cornucopia of hearty food and drink a plenty. Delight in the antics of street performers. Come hear musicians playing authentic period instruments. Watch demonstrations of the time-honored arts of weaving, coin minting, spinning, sculpting, glass blowing, tinsmithing, blacksmithing, leather crafting and names being written on a grain of rice. You will discover an enchanted place where Fairy-tales become flesh and fantasy, take flight but BEWARE the Dragon!

Sword fighters, minstrels, magicians, wenches and more. For all the world’s a stage. Medieval Fair of Norman - The 42st Annual Medieval Fair - April 6 - 8, 2018
Reaves Park, Norman, OK 10am - 7pmStep back in time for a day of revels at the Medieval Fair. Enjoy mirth and merriment with kings, queens, knights and fools as the kingdom comes alive.Held annually since 1977, this living history fair features educational exhibits, arts, crafts, food, games, demonstrations and ongoing entertainment at seven stages.
Entertainment for the whole family includes minstrels, dancing, theater and reenactments, jugglers, knights jousting on horseback and human chess games. Brightly costumed characters include King Arthur, mermaids, and the fair's royal court.
Browse through the medieval village of over 200 art and craft booths offering unique and handcrafted wares. Offerings include pottery, wood crafts, stained glass, armor, costumes, fairy wings, jewelry, leather crafts, hair garlands, and much more. Watch master crafters demonstrating their skills.
The Medieval Fair of Norman is the state's largest weekend event and the third largest event in Oklahoma, and was selected by Events Media Network as one of the top 100 events in the nation. It is made possible, in part, by the Norman Arts Council Hotel Tax Grant Program and the City of Norman.
Parking is available at Lloyd Noble Center on Jenkins Avenue, located one block south of Reaves Park for a fee of $5 (which benefits the Lloyd Noble Center).
Visitors to the Fair should be aware of the City of Norman's ordinance that prohibits smoking in City parks. Alcoholic beverages are also prohibited.
